    Little Bird, Little Haviland

“Though she be but little, she is fierce,” Haviland is a southern girl with an alluring, city-girl edge that is also charming and absolutely engaging. She is often compared to Scarlett O’Hara, as “a tight little ball of spunk, bad ass and class.” The difference is that you would never leave Haviland without giving a damn.

Her roots run through Georgia, where she grew up running between campaign parties (dad) and film sets (mom). She graduated from The Paideia School in Atlanta, Ithaca College, and then, New York University, with honors.

    On Screen

Haviland started young, in films like Fried Green Tomatoes, Now and Then, and Wayward Son, with Harry Connick, Jr. Her television and film work includes ABC’s Eastwick and Six Degrees and the upcoming films, one for Lifetime, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Cybill Shepard, andĀ Below the Beltway with Tate Donovan, which won the Audience Award when it premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

    On Broadway

She made her Broadway debut in the revival of Fiddler on the Roof (as Grandma Tzeitel and Hodel) and followed that with the revival of Les Miserables (as The Factory Girl and Fantine), plus numerous readings and premieres of new work with such composers and lyracists as Diane Warren, Maury Yeston, Charles Strouse, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, Ryan Scott Oliver, Steven Jamail and Ryann Ferguson, and Brian Feinstein.

    Directing . Producing . Consulting

Haviland collaborates with artists and executives to create shows, give notes, and help shape whatever piece is at hand. She served as Associate Producer on the Off-Broadway production of John Cariani’s play, ALMOST, MAINE, works as an Associate Producer for Reset Films, and gives Master Classes at places such as New York University, The Paideia School and The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and private coachings for voice and acting.

    In Concert

Her concertsĀ have reached wide audiences from New York to Los Angeles. She performed with Rosie O’Donnell on the r family cruises, and she continues to sing all over L.A. and NYC, and willl visit other cities after her album release!

    On Life

“I’m really into working,” says Haviland. “I live by example. Ultimately, isn’t the point to entertain by including everyone? The best thing to do is to get everyone in on it. And in this case, the ‘it’ is Haviland. Inclusion, advocacy, fierce sweetness and smarts. Those are my cornerstones. Wrap that up in an electric, best costume of the day, turn it on and let’s go.
