We’ve had a very productive and creative week in the recording studio! We’ve laid down 8 of 11 tunes, and will finish the final three tonight, with very special guest Kristy Hanson! My favorites are “Wrong Way” and “Crawl,” but they are all fantastic!  We’re recording an original song that she wrote for me to sing called “Manage.” And thank God, she’s sticking around to add her talent to a couple of other tunes, as well!

I am exuberant to announce that none other than Broadway’s original ANNIE, (my favorite musical from ages 0-8), Andrea McArdle, is on my album! She and I sang a smokin’ duet – a GLEE-style Mash-up of two songs that sound amazing together, thanks to the genius arranging of Steven Jamail!

So, back to the studio tonight, and then working on a few vocal dubs tomorrow. This has been such a fun process. I found myself energized from dancing all day in my little booth. Yep, I DANCE through every song. It is effective and I hope you will be able to hear it in the sound! My first voice teacher, Beverly Blouin, told me that in recordings, people can hear it when you smile. She’s right!
