A simply breathtaking photo. Now I'm all smitten. Are you quite sure you could never love a boy? Even a devastatingly OK-looking, gay friendly, equality ally who bakes the best snickerdoodles the world has ever known?

    Worth a shot. Great work!

    suzanna – thank you!

    jen – thank you, absolutely!

anonymous – nice VOTE reference, very nice!

anonymous – darling, I love you ALL! the only problem I have is with the snickerdoodle. Work another angle, and the shot is going to be closer to the target. Isn't being smitten a lovely thing to be?

Of course, I'm ecstatic that I'm not disqualified out of the gate! But the disdain for snickerdoodles is tough, I'll admit. That's likely a bigger obstacle than any possible preference you might have for the ladies over me. But hey, that's why they make optimism, and I cornered that market ages ago.

And I agree, there's probably no better feeling in the world than being smitten. It's like you grow five inches overnight, and you finally feel like Gene Kelly looks when he dances on screen. Like gravity doesn't quite know how to hold onto you. Yeah, I'll take that. And I'll give the snickerdoodles to my nephew!

In all seriousness (though I promise I'm still smitten) keep up the wonderful work. I'm very impressed not just by your talent, but by the very good things you're doing with it. You have a supporter here in Ohio.

I'm very glad I stumbled across your friend's blog. Speaking of exceptional talent, she has a real gift with words, doesn't she?
